We numerically investigate the characteristics of plasmonic merons near a metallic surface, revealing a pivotal height-driven transformation from Neel to Bloch-type. The interplay between plasmonic spin-textures controlled by surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in the near field and edge-scattered fields in the far field triggers this phenomenon. We also show that the presence of topological quasiparticles extends beyond SPP-mediated spin-textures into the realm of dielectrics.
