The protein misfolding problem and the therapeutic approach

Protein is a polypeptide chain composed of amino acids in its primary sequence. In the biological system, in general protein needs to fold into a native structure with three-dimensional structure to convey its function. Here, I would like to introduce the protein misfolding problem occurred in diseases focusing on neurodegenerative diseases. I will present our latest studies on protein misfolding and the therapeutic approaches developed from them.
